Portraits of Dogs
What a lot of artists there are ... and a bundle of them seem to paint dogs!
Which can only be a good thing if you want a portrait of a dog, I like traditional pictures myself but there is a site just for dog artists of all kinds which is interesting. Naturally a good photo on the wall works very well too.
I think painting or drawing a dog goes well beyond a physical likeness, like any portrait a good artist will manage to instill the personality of the sitter as well as a likeness.
How they manage to do this I'm none to sure, which is I guess why they are artists and I'm not.
